“Borovy's edition of Nezval's poetry was an important project that gave Czech Surrealism distinct visibility. Teige -perhaps on Borovy's wishes?- did not unify the design of these volums, effectively calling into dubt the idea of standarization. THe volumes also differ in the extent to which photomontage appears on the covers. Some of these covers reflect Teige's private project of erotic photomontages.”
