“Glaser's landmark covers for the Signet Classic Shakespeare series represent a bridge between his early more detailed pen and ink drawings and the simplified curvilinear forms that would exemplify the Push Pin style in the mid-late 1960s. Glaser's delicate illustrations appear to be half finished; the restrained use of color was meant to emphasize the white space that surrounded it.”
