Arthur Rimbaud. Oeuvres. Club Français du Livre, 1949

“Massin’s first design for a book cover dates back to 1949. It was for Arthur Rimbaud’s Oeuvres, published by the Club Français du Livre (…) For his first creation, Massin chose two quotes from Rimbaud and placed them in sans serif type on graphic lines running up, downs, and across the cover, in a Constructivist vein quite different from his work to come.”
