“In his poster work, Ladislav Sutnar purposely utilized the optical and psychological impact of the New Typography language. Contrast, negative color and bold spatial constructions were used to surprise and even shock. Sutnar in his designs of purely typographical posters likewise employed Tschicholdean principles such as asymmetric composition or blank spaces to emphasize the unique character of the information.”
