Ladislav Sutnar. Alkohol / Upton Sinclair. Druzstevní práce, 1933
“For book design, Sutnar preferred Gill Sans, but his use of Futura in this field was still highly distinctive. In the early 1930s he used it for a series of books by George Bernard Shaw (...) In other book series, such as for a number of titles by Upton Sinclair, Sutnar used Futura in bold and lower case in the frame. Typography and photography are used here to create one communication unit -a 'typofoto'.”
