Chinese Poetry Paper by the Master of the Ten Bamboo Hall. Basel: Holbein, 1948
“ Chinese colour printing became one of Tschichold's passionate interests, and he wrote several books on the subject. His personal collection of prints was enriched with the help of a tea-dealer in Basel, whom Edith Tschichold had asked to look out for poetry paper by Cheng-yen, the master of the Ten Bamboo studio, on a visit to China: he returned with an almost complete set, which formed the basis of Tschichold's facsimile edition, first published in 1947.”
